"Im 54 years old I first went to see Dr. Kristi to help me with my face and had a wonderful consult. I started with a vampire facelift and some Botox. Then I had all the dark spots removed. Then laser hair removal on my face. I then had threads put in for some lift in my cheeks. That all started Oct 2022, The outcome has been great. Can I Get Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal at Body Bar MD is a safe treatment that is helpful for many of our Carmel, IN patients. How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

At your appointment, we will have you relax in one of our comfortable treatment chairs while we wash your skin to remove any dirt, oil, lotions, etc. We'll then start the laser hair removal process using the revolutionary Alma Soprano ICE device. One of our team members will stretch out the treatment area to create a clear path between the laser and the hair follicle root. The energy from the laser will target and destroy the follicle, preventing the hair from growing back. The ICE technology cools your skin to minimize the risk of burn, makingthe procedure more enjoyable. The length of the procedure depends on what areas you are having treated;however, most appointments should not last longer than one hour. On average, you will need to get 3 – 5 sessions over a period of 3 – 4 weeks to see your ideal results. Your sessions will be staggered to give the treated areas time to heal. It also allows time for follicles in the dormant phase of growth to cycle into the active growth phase so the laser can be effective. What Can I Expect After My Laser Hair Removal?

Using Alma Soprano ICE, the revolutionary cooling technology cools your skin while maintaining heat at the treatment site. This makes a more enjoyable experiencebut also reduces the risk of burn. However, you may notice your skin feels like it has a mild sunburn where we used the lasers. Rest assured, this should not last long. Feel free to resume typical daily activities right after your appointment, but try to avoid things like exercising and extended time outdoors for a day or two while your skin heals. Dr. Christy will recommend some cooling creams to use at home. You will likely need multiple treatmentsso we will help you schedule your next appointment.
