Vengeance Demon Hunter Utility
These abilities are either given to you baseline while leveling orby talenting into them in your talent trees.
Vengeance Demon Hunter provides support for the party through its sigilsand high kiting potential via mobility.
We would like to preface this list by saying that all sigils can be castup to 30 yards, explode after 2 seconds (1 second when talented into Quickened Sigils), which actually grants the effect ofthe sigil, and have an 8-yard radius.
- Sigil of Silence provides a 4-second silence to all mobsaffected. Note that this interrupts spellcasting. It has a 90-second cooldown.
- Sigil of Chains grips in enemies and then slows them by 70%,allowing for easy mob management and kiting potential. It has a 1-minutecooldown.
- Chaos Nova A 2-second AoE stun with a 45-second cooldown.
- Sigil of Misery places a 20-second Fear on mobs affected. Thisinterrupts spellcasting if the mob is feared and can be used on mobs that arefearable but have uninterruptible abilities. This action fears them, whichstops their cast. This can be cast every 1.5 minutes.
- Imprison is a ranged Incapacitate that has a 20-yardrange and 45-second cooldown. It does not trigger combat and works extremelywell in preventing mobs from pulling or as a quick "stun" for uninterruptablemobs.
- Disrupt is an interrupt with a 10-yard range and a short15-second cooldown.
- Consume Magic is a 30-yard purge that gets rid of one bufffrom an enemy. It also has a short10-second cooldown. With the increased amount of purgeable buffs, this is avery welcome addition.
- Infernal Strike allows you to jump 30 yards, allowing for a high mobility for pulling multiple packs, getting back to your group, and kiting.
- Arcane Torrent / Shadowmeld are actually racialabilities, but Demon Hunters can only be Night Elf and Blood Elf, which meansthat you will always have one of these at your disposal. Arcane Torrent isgreat for tanks, as they will always be in melee range and can AoE purge trashwith ease. Shadowmeld allows you to do special skips with Sigil of Misery that you could not do alone on the Horde side.

Major alternative talents
- Sigil of Chains is a utility talent on a 1-minute cooldown thatwill grip most enemies into the center of the sigil after 1 second, slowing themfor 70% for 8 seconds after the grip. A potent tool to group enemies and stopongoing spell casts from enemies, however not without drawbacks. If you are notcareful you risk syncing up the auto attacks of all enemies, you are at high riskof dying once all enemies hit you. To get this talent you drop Volatile Flamebloodin the Offensive build, or Extended Spikes in the Defensive build. With the introduction of Season 4 the amount of caster enemies have decreasedsignificantly, reducing the overall value of this spell compared to the previousSeason.
- Feed the Demon is a defensive talent that offers more simplicitywhen managing uptime of defensives. It will make it significantly easier tomaintain full uptime of some defensive at any given point. To get it withany of the recommended builds you would drop Cycle of Binding to get 1point of it. Anything more than that is generally not needed.
- Last Resort is a talent that in itself offers a good safety net onan 8-minute cooldown, however the large talent point cost means you losesignificant defensive, offensive and healing power from other sources, specifically Soulcrush. One can think of it as putting on a seat beltin a car, but at the same time removing your brakes, increasing the risk of crashing the car.
4.

4.
Sigilweaver: Utility Focused Talent Build for Vengeance Demon Hunter
This build is based on the defensive Sigilweaver talent build but moves talent pointsinto talents focused on control like Improved Sigil of Misery and Sigil of Chains. This offers you more control of enemies in a Mythic+ setting at the cost ofdefensive value and is generally recommended in situations whereyou need more tools to help your group with handling dangerous casters.
